The cheapest way to start yoga in London

Updated 20 October 2026

If you are new to a studio, the intro offer is almost always the cheapest way in. Nearly every studio has one, and they are only for first-timers, so you can try several studios for less than one month's membership.

Step 1: use intro offers, one studio at a time

The cheapest intro offers in our data right now, by £ per class:

  1. MoreYoga (35+ studios across London (Brixton page used)): First month unlimited (intro membership) for £1, about £0.12 a class if you go twice a week.
  2. Tara Yoga Centre (Old Street (London centre)): 4 weeks unlimited Year 1 classes for £40, about £5.00 a class if you go twice a week.
  3. JOOY Yoga (South London): Trial class for £5, about £5.00 a class.
  4. Yoga Point (Brixton (SW2)): 4 classes (discount code) for £24, about £6.00 a class.
  5. The Yoga Edge (Crystal Palace (Church Road, SE19)): 14 days unlimited for £25, about £6.25 a class if you go twice a week.
  6. Yogahome (Stoke Newington (N16)): Full trial month (studio + online unlimited) for £55, about £6.42 a class if you go twice a week.

Two things to watch. First, "unlimited for 14 or 21 days" offers are only cheap if you actually go: buy one in a week you can do three or four classes. Second, some intro offers roll into a paid membership automatically. MoreYoga's £1 first month, for example, becomes £44 a month with a 2-month minimum, so put a reminder in your calendar.

Step 2: once you know your habit, pick the right way to pay

  1. MoreYoga: £44/month ('Half price for life' rate for new members after the £1 month; 2-month minimum)
  2. Core Clapton: £50/month (Unlimited monthly)
  3. Yogahome: £85/month (Studio membership by direct debit, 2-month minimum)
  4. Barefoot Yoga & Therapy: £89/month (Earth monthly, rolling term)
  5. Casita Yoga Battersea: £100/month (Rolling monthly, 3-month minimum)

Our calculator does this sum for every studio at once.

Step 3: ask about concessions

Several studios publish discounts for students, NHS staff, over-60s or people on a low income, for example Phoenix Yoga (under-30s and NHS), Surya Hot Yoga (15% concessions), Yogarise and Core Clapton (£5 concession drop-in). If money is tight, it is worth emailing a studio and asking; Yoga Point says so on its pricing page.
